Chooka

"Warm on the inside. Hot on the outside," is the phrase Chooka uses to embody its line of kitchy and practical footwear. The brand has recently been characterized by its rubber rain boots, which come in a multitude of patterns and colors (Lori’s likes the polka dot and animal prints). Young celebs like Christina Milian have been seen sporting the whimsical boots, in and out of the rain!

While Chooka rain boots are water-tested and fashion-approved, the line does offer a number of alternative styles. Actually, Chooka first gained popularity with its shearling lined sheepskin boots, because they’re incredible soft, forming to feet and trapping body heat. The brand also manufactures a much lauded slipper line.

The Chooka label is an extension of the Washington Shoe Company, founded in Seattle in 1891. The company’s boots were originally designed for miners as they participated in the Alaska Gold Rush.
